Paula Shoyer will discuss the history of Jewish cookbooks in America, from the first cookbooks used by immigrants to the present saturation of Jewish community and promotional cookbooks. She will explain how all these important recipes, passed on from grandmother to mother to granddaughter, tell the story of our identity as Americans and as Jews.
